Course Description

Did you know... we all have “emotional bank accounts” (EBAs) where, subconsciously, we keep a mental record of all our interactions with someone?  Interactions perceived as positive, are like deposits into the EBA. Those perceived as negative, are like withdrawals. Where EBAs run empty (or even into “overdraft”), conflict and tension are generally the order of the day.  Learning how to intentionally minimise “withdrawals” and increase “deposits” will help you improve the quality of key relationships both at work and at home.

In this 1-day workshop (non-residential) you will learn and develop deep skills in how to manage the EBAs for each of your key relationships effectively.  Specifically, using a simple, memorable framework of YES, NO, PLEASE and THANK YOU, you will learn how to master two fundamental ways to minimise "withdrawals" and two vital ways to make deposits in respectful and meaningful ways.

Conceptually, you will also leave with a much improved understanding of why you sometimes don't see eye-to-eye in both your work and home relationships, and:

  • WHY your partner/spouse, colleagues, friends, parents, children, etc. do what they do, and what you can do to build strong relationships with them, even in pressured environments.
  • HOW to create high performing teams built on trust and respect, shared goals and guiding principles, in today’s diverse world.
  • HOW and WHY conflict happens in every team, tips you can implement to minimise it, and what you can do to handle it effectively when it eventually arises.
  • HOW to show recognition and appreciation in thoughtful and meaningful ways.

Come and join others, like yourself, who are committed to building great relationships. You get to rub shoulders with people on the same journey of personal development and leave equipped to build vital relationships at home and at work.

Our next workshop will be hosted at Sopwell House Hotel and Country Spa Retreat in Saint Albans, Hertfordshire (https://sopwellhouse.co.uk/).  We have a full agenda of information sharing and exercises to embed skills lined up for you.  AND we have structured the day to allow you to also relax and unwind, taking some time to enjoy the fantastic facilities as you process the key learnings from the day. So, if you can, plan your day so you don’t have to rush off at the end...

Book your seat(s) now.

Looking forward to seeing you there…
